My son Drew recently competed in the school spelling bee.
Thirty kids sat on the stage taking turns at spelling words like ‘bias’ and ‘illusion’ and ‘periscope’.
One little girl was asked to spell ‘gigantic’.

She spelled it very slowly… ‘G………. I……….. G…………
‘A…….. N………………………..
And then she got kind of lost… and seemed to forget what she was doing… [...]
